Cowry

The cowry is a special kind of snail with a highly polished shell. When it feels unthreatened, it extrudes its body to cover the shell.

Here it is from the front. To the right, you can see the expanded skirt of a button coral. I found this guy feeding on a flower pot coral, and decided that perhaps he was not as benign as advertised, so he went back.
